Checking Out for a Few

So I am sitting at SFO waiting to board a flight to Hong Kong.

I remember the first time I visited Hong Kong.  It was in 1999 and I picked up a trip after I had transferred to Chicago to be with my first serious boyfriend.  Aren't those some golden memories?  Even though the relationship did not last, my affection for Hong Kong and all things Cantonese has never waned.  I have not been back in about five years, so I know that much has changed.  They even have a Disneyland now!

This trip is going to be a good one.  After hitting the grind hard for the last couple of months, I am sorely in need of a break.  Thanks to my great friend C, I have pass benefits back at United and I will be able to make the hop across the pond in the front of the plane.  Very very very nice indeed.  I should be hitting Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bali before I return to the States later on this month.

I finally wore myself out this week and contracted the change of seasons cold that was overdue.  However, I am on the mend and vacation should be the perfect prescription.

The house hunt continues.  I have seen a bunch of properties and recently saw one that I liked, but the paperwork and the negotiations seem to take ages.  There is definitely a lot of foreclosures and other stuff hitting the market, so it is a good time to be looking.

Sorry I have fallen off the radar with a lot of you; I hope that you are all doing well.  Happy Easter!

Cuidate.
